The Chester Upland Education Association (CUEA) is excited to introduce our new CUEA Member Spotlight, a special initiative dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the extraordinary educators who make a difference every day throughout the Chester Upland School District (CUSD).
Our educators do so much more than teach. They inspire, mentor, advocate, encourage, lead, and create opportunities that transform the lives of students, families, and communities.
From innovative classroom lessons and student achievements to volunteer initiatives, professional accomplishments, and community service, our CUEA members are doing amazing things!
And we want everyone to know about it!
Introducing the CUEA Member Spotlight!
The CUEA Member Spotlight will feature outstanding members who demonstrate dedication, leadership, creativity, compassion, and a commitment to making a positive impact.
Through our website, newsletters, and social media platforms, we want to share the inspiring stories of members who are making meaningful contributions in three important areas:
1. Making a Difference in the Chester Upland School District
Are you or a fellow member leading an innovative program, improving student outcomes, mentoring colleagues, or introducing creative educational opportunities? We want to celebrate those accomplishments!
2. Making an Impact at Your School
From organizing school activities and supporting students beyond the classroom to building positive school cultures and developing exciting educational experiences, we want to recognize the members who go above and beyond.
3. Giving Back to the Community
Many educators continue serving long after the school day ends. Whether volunteering, coaching, mentoring youth, supporting nonprofit organizations, organizing community events, or helping families in need, your contributions deserve recognition.
Nominate an Amazing CUEA Member!
Do you know a CUEA member who deserves to be in the spotlight?
Perhaps it’s a colleague who consistently goes the extra mile, someone who recently received an award, an educator who developed an innovative program, or a member whose community involvement is making a lasting difference.
We invite you to nominate yourself or another CUEA member for recognition!
Nominations may be submitted by CUEA members, colleagues, administrators, or community members. Individuals selected for recognition must be current CUEA members.
What Information Should You Submit?
To help us share each member’s story, please provide the following information:
Member Information
- Full name of the nominated CUEA member
- School or work location
- Position or job title
- Grade level, subject area, or department, if applicable
- Years of service in education or CUSD, if known
Reason for Nomination
- Why are you nominating this member?
- What special achievement, initiative, or contribution would you like us to highlight?
- How has this member positively impacted students, colleagues, their school, CUSD, or the community?
- What makes this member’s story inspiring or deserving of recognition?
Supporting Information
- Description of awards, accomplishments, projects, programs, or community involvement
- Photos of the member or their work, if available and authorized for publication
- Relevant links to news articles, school announcements, or community projects, if applicable
Nominator Information
- Your name
- Your school or organization
- Your email address
- Your relationship to the nominee
- Whether you are nominating yourself or someone else
Please do not submit confidential student information or photographs of students without the appropriate permissions.
How to Submit a Nomination
Nominating someone is easy!
Step 1: Complete the CUEA Member Spotlight Nomination Form.
Step 2: Share the member’s accomplishments and explain why they deserve recognition.
Step 3: Upload any optional supporting photographs or documentation.
Step 4: Submit your nomination for consideration.
The CUEA Member Spotlight team will review submissions and contact selected members to confirm information and obtain permission before publishing their stories.
What Happens When a Member Is Selected?
Selected members may be featured through:
- A dedicated Member Spotlight article on the CUEA website
- Recognition in CUEA newsletters and member communications
- Social media recognition highlighting their accomplishments
- Photographs, personal stories, and inspirational messages, with permission
Our goal is to create an ongoing celebration of the people who make the Chester Upland educational community stronger.
